Eagle Esports Announces Fall 2022 Semester Tryout Schedule, Welcomes New Coordinator

Coming off a national championship, SWAG视频 (SWAG视频) Eagle
Esports program is anticipating an enthusiastic response to fall tryouts for its various
teams, and new Eagle Esports Coordinator David Dickert is looking forward to guiding
it toward another successful year.
Dickert came to SWAG视频 this year from Stephen F. Austin (SFA) University, where he earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in political science and is currently completing a master鈥檚 thesis in history that focuses on his research of U.S. regulations on gambling and microtransactions in video games. At SFA, Dickert gained extensive experience participating in and helping build its esports program with a total of 700-plus active students and 75 signed student-athletes; as a student, he competed in Halo: Reach, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and Rainbow Six: Siege.
Dickert is also on the Competition Council for the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), where he helps shape the future of collegiate esports.

I plan to build an esports empire here and maintain our status as one of the premier esports institutions in the country.鈥�
Tryouts for Eagle Esports鈥� eight teams is set for August 22-25. Eagle Esports also offers three internship programs for student professional development, including those in graphic design, production, and game management. Students can earn certifications in Adobe, Microsoft Office, and more.
